Nathan Penny

Instructor of Marriage Care and Counselling

Nathan Penny serves as Instructor of Marriage Care and Counselling at Heritage College & Seminary. His teaching focuses on equipping students to provide biblical care in the context of marriage, counselling, and pastoral ministry.

Drawing on extensive experience in church-based counselling and ministry leadership, Nathan seeks to prepare students to apply Scripture faithfully in complex life situations, integrating practical theology with real-world ministry practice.

Ministry Experience

Nathan Penny has served in a variety of counselling and ministry leadership roles, including:

  • Design and implementation of a comprehensive Soul Care ministry at Hope Bible Church
  • Oversight of counselling ministry teams, including staff and non-vocational counsellors
  • Development and leadership of counselling training programs, including ABC certification
  • Creation and teaching of multiple Soul Care classes and resources
  • Oversight of premarital counselling ministry
  • Frequent preaching and teaching in church contexts
  • On-call Chaplain, Joseph Brant Hospital

He currently serves as a pastor at Hope Bible Church Oakville and is actively engaged in equipping the Church through counselling, teaching, and leadership development.
