Student Leadership

Student Council

The Heritage Institutional Student Council is elected annually by students enrolled in academic programs of both the College and the Seminary. The Council consists of an executive team, committee chairs, and class presidents, with its activities guided by a governing constitution.

Student Council provides opportunities for leadership, service, and collaboration across campus life. Clubs and specialized sports teams are formed each year based on student interest, and committees are established to encourage participation and to ensure new students are welcomed and involved.

Students may participate in Student Council through a variety of areas, including:

  • Athletics
  • Social events
  • Missions and outreach
  • The arts
  • Additional committees and initiatives

Residence Assistants

Residence Assistants (RAs) serve as student leaders within the Residence community, providing a ministry of care and support for College students living on campus. RAs encourage and challenge students toward Christ‑likeness while fostering a healthy, respectful, and supportive living environment.

RAs also serve as Impact Group leaders, facilitating weekly small‑group gatherings within the Residence buildings for both on‑ and off‑campus students. In addition, they are responsible for upholding and helping to enforce community guidelines and standards.

Residence Assistants are hired annually through Student Services and play a key role in supporting student formation, accountability, and community life at Heritage.
