Chapels & Spiritual Growth

Chapel is a central and formative part of life at Heritage, shaping the spiritual growth of our students and strengthening our shared life as a Christian community. These gatherings invite students to deepen their personal walk with God, reflect prayerfully on the world around them, and consider how they are called to live and serve for God’s glory. Chapel also provides space to connect classroom learning with lived faith, helping students integrate theology, worship, and daily discipleship.

Chapels at Heritage College

Each week, students, faculty, and staff gather for worship and the teaching of God’s Word. Chapel services may include guest speakers, worship bands, times of prayer, Scripture reading, musical offerings, and opportunities for shared reflection. Students and faculty are encouraged to participate actively, as together we seek to focus our hearts on the Lord and attend to His work within the Heritage community.

Heritage Chapel takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m.in the Heritage Community Centre. All are welcome to attend.

Chapels at Heritage Theological Seminary

Students from Heritage Theological Seminary join with the College community each Tuesday for a shared time of worship and teaching, reflecting the unity of our academic and spiritual life.

Seminary Lunches

Seminary students, faculty, and staff also gather periodically for Seminary Soup Lunches, providing opportunities for fellowship, conversation, and mutual encouragement. Details are communicated directly to Seminary students.

Spiritual Growth

Local Church Commitment

Students are expected to be faithful in regular attendance at a local church and are strongly encouraged to develop meaningful relationships within the churches where they serve and complete ministry placement requirements.

Prayer & Worship

Throughout the year, students are invited to participate in prayer groups that form in response to shared needs and interests. Dedicated prayer spaces are available in the Heritage Community Centre and the Seminary Building Prayer Room, where students may write prayers and praises and spend time in quiet reflection before the Lord. Student‑led times of worship or prayer are also held periodically during evening hours on campus.

Impact Groups

Each residence student is placed in an Impact Group – a small group designed to support spiritual growth, mutual accountability, and community throughout the academic year. Off‑campus students are also welcome and encouraged to join an Impact Group as space allows.
